Water is essential, the very foundation of all life on Earth. All living beings as well as human beings cannot live without water. Water is essential, the very foundation of all life on Earth. All living beings as well as human beings cannot live without water. Once water is polluted and dead, it requires recapturing its new life before getting back to the sound water cycle to sustain the public health, economic growth and multi-functional ecosystem services, while both a shortage and an abundance of water cause disasters at times. Our world is just confronted with unprecedented challenges such as climate change, rapid urbanization, emerging contaminants and basic necessities of health, survival, growth and development, that are all inextricably linked to the water-related problems, some of which might even sow the seeds of war in the 21st Century,. In this conference, the focus is put on the urban wastewater and sanitation system i.e. “sewerage” which definitely should be the key component of sound and sustainable water cycle worldwide. Cutting-edge technology and best practices on sewerage are collected from all over the world, not only developed countries but also developing countries to address the challenges of improving water environment, water cycle and water resources managements, Participants form the continents of North and South America (WEF), Europe (EWA) and Asia (JSWA) covering the majority of the world population are expected to discuss advanced and appropriate technologies and best practices to be developed, selected and tuned to the local conditions from the point of view of global applicability. This conference will surely be a milestone of the contribution of professional associations and practitioners to the global role of sewerage on the horizon in this century.
